I joined VAZ in August 2019 as a volunteer administrator, and that decision truly transformed my journey. Volunteering at VAZ opened doors I never imagined. While serving, I was seconded to the Africa Leadership and Management Academy (ALMA) as the personal assistant to the Executive Director. This role not only gave me valuable professional exposure but also paved the way for further academic growth. Through the ALMA scholarship, I pursued and successfully completed my MSc in Governance and Leadership, graduating in 2022. All these opportunities professional advancement, academic achievement, and personal growth came because I chose to be part of VAZ. Volunteering is not just about giving your time; it is an investment in your future. It builds networks, opens opportunities, and shapes character. I encourage everyone to take volunteering seriously it can be the bridge to your next big breakthrough, just as it was for me.
