From Degree to Income: Monetising Your Skills through Consultancy & Self-Employment

Volunteers Association of Zimbabwe, VAZ, offers training programmes aimed at equipping participants with practical guidelines on how to use their skills to generate income. From the 3 rd to 4 th July 2026, VAZ in collaboration with the Africa Leadership and Management Academy, (ALMA), will be hosting a training programme aimed at empowering unemployed graduates to transition from job-seeking to income creation.

The two-day workshop will give practical guidelines on how to identify a value proposition for a business, offer knowledge on pricing and professional conduct, various consultancy business models and freelancing pathways, how to win work and find clients, understanding legal and compliance basics as well as how to create a 30-60-90-day monetization action plan.
